''Otogar : heart of Aksaray''
Aksaray Otogar was the point where people from different nationalities met with Istanbul and met each other firstly. This terminal is a gateway to cultural and language diversity. It's a kind of new portal for people coming here from different countries. That is why '' PortAksaray'' is the first stop of people before they spread.
Who's going through this transition at the '' gate'', who comes from what purpose? While people come from Turkey's eastern Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Syria; from the west, we have seen people coming from Ukraine, Romania and Bulgaria.
The clash of cultures and language diversity created by the people who come here actually creates an atmosphere of chaos here.
They have commercial concerns in order not to lose their identity. For example, opening their own restaurants. Apart from these, people from different countries often have common goals like commercial, although they have different purposes.The working areas are shaped according to their identities. For example, a woman from Bulgaria works as a living model in Laleli, or a man from Turkmenistan is a carrier in cargo part at the Otogar.
Spread of passengers for eating, resting and working is mostly Aksaray and it's surroundings.
What they see as Istanbul is actually only Aksaray.
